There is an industrious ambition behind the gal who carries this kind of faith.
In her infancy, she aims to reach what she’s been told is alive and real but hasn’t quite felt the life force of it.
She’s heard of, and perhaps even seen others impacted and changed by this Jesus she’s been told about. She is curious to see if he would dare reach toward her, in all her imperfections.
There’s a wildness tucked into this one, an untamed and unharnessed presence. She holds the kind of unrestraint that tests what she’s been taught and presses the boundary lines of protection.
There’s room for edges to be softened here, and graciousness and gentleness are hers to grow in.
At the heart of her rests acts of courage. She has been uniquely built to challenge. As she strengthens her ability to discern she learns that Wisdom is on her side, giving her hope and authority to overcome what she’s been assigned to.
As she matures, a hunger for depth emerges, and she becomes driven by a passion for justice and movements that carry eternal impact.
This feisty faith pushes back, wrestles with theology, and reaches for disruption.
Because of this type of unsettledness, she can not conform easily.
She presses into and challenges long-standing systems to test if they are life-producing. Her grip is gritty and far-reaching, longing for tangible in what has felt like an intangible place for far too long.
Unsatisfied with a generation of upgrades, influencers, and bazillion-dollar projects and platforms, a faith like this goes through her days searching for intimacy and petitions the One True Creator to reveal Himself to her among the generated likes of humanity.
As she learns to let Him take her beyond what feels safe and secure, she learns there is a great risk. Not always do these new places hold space for comfortable and convenient. Becoming stripped of the acceptance of man, rejection delivers its sting.
It is inevitable she learns to welcome a force that moves outside her free will and experiences moments well beyond her own making. The struggle to not be dependent on herself is one of her greatest obstacles as she wrestles with her doubts and insecurities.
When she settles into a place of rest, the one who has been called to carry this type of faith is not bored in her fellowship with the One True God.
Because the best adventures await her.
